Apple dumplings

This is one you have to try!!!! Sara (Dr. Kelleys wife) made these and brought them in for the Dr's birthday a while back ago, and they were good. The recipe came from The Pioneer Woman Cookbook.com.

Apple Dumplings
2 Granny Smith apples 2 cans crescent rolls 2 sticks butter 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 teaspoons vanilla cinnamon 1 small can Mountain Dew( I used about 3/4 can)

Peel and core apples. Cut apples into 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan. Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir, and pour over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream, and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top.

Then go to confession. Quickly.
I hope you like. (By the way my husband was making fun of me for taking pictures of food. I will NOT repeat what he said--He thinks he is so funny!!)

Hey lady. Keep snapping those shots and putting the recipes on here. I love it! I always could use a new one. I am going to have to try it out. Looks good. I'll be making your last recipe "the chicken" tonight. Can't wait.
